چکیده

Ecological approach to transport including the fuel which is used in combustion engines involves a necessity of alternative solution application. The study shows test result analysis amount exhaust gases affecting natural environment. tests were performed for 81W self-ignition engine with direct injection. experiment was conducted mixture containing 70% diesel oil 30% fatty acid methyl esters. results regarding concentration components obtained analyzed compared without Based on analysis, it can be said that additive esters not enough decrease harmful substance emission atmosphere by power unit.

The Influence of Engine Speed on Exhaust Emission of Four Stroke Spark Ignition Multi Cylinder Engine

An experimental study is carried out to investigate engine performance parameters and methods of reducing emissions from spark ignition engine. Fuel efficiency is one of the major concerns for the users, the designers and the manufacturers of internal combustion (IC) engines, The effect of increasing the temperature of cylinder liner has the advantage of reducing the specific fuel consumption b...

Characteristics of auto-ignition in a stratified iso-octane mixture with exhaust gases under homogeneous charge compression ignition conditions

Ignition and propagation of a reaction front in a counterflow system of an iso-octane/air stream mixing with an exhaust gas stream is computationally investigated to understand the fundamental characteristics of homogeneous charge compression ignition (HCCI) auto-ignition. Various mixing rates are imposed on the system and the effects of dissipation rates on auto-ignition are studied. Ignition ...

Exhaust Emission Analysis of an Internal Combustion Engine Fuelled with Hydrogen-Ethanol Dual Fuel

The work presented in this paper is an attempt to evaluate the exhaust emission characteristics of a hydrogen-ethanol dual fuel combination with different percents of hydrogen substitutions (i.e. 0-80 % by volume and of 20 % increment ) at three different compression ratios of 7:1, 9:1 and 11:1. Experimental investigations have been carried out on a computer interfaced with; four-stroke cycle, ...

Studying the Effect of Reformer Gas and Exhaust Gas Recirculation on Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition Engine Operation

Combustion in homogeneous charge compression ignition (HCCI) engine is controlled auto ignition of well-mixed fuel, air and residual gas. Since onset of HCCI combustion depends on the auto ignition of fuel/air mixture, there is no direct control on the start of combustion process. Therefore, HCCI combustion becomes unstable rather easily especially at lower and higher engine load. Charge strati...

Application of Exhaust Gas Fuel Reforming in Diesel and Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) Engines Fuelled with Biofuels

This paper documents the application of exhaust gas fuel reforming of two alternative fuels, biodiesel and bioethanol, in internal combustion engines. The exhaust gas fuel reforming process is a method of on-board production of hydrogen-rich gas by catalytic reaction of fuel and engine exhaust gas. The benefits of exhaust gas fuel reforming have been demonstrated by adding simulated reformed ga...
